All is Well, All is Well!

This week was awesome! :)
I mustache you a question! :)

So last Monday, I got to throw pottery as well! :) Our landlord does pottery and sells it at craft shows! He has a wheel and kiln at the house! :) It was super fun! But I am soooooooo out of practice lol My little pot was barely three inches high lol

This past week we got to go to the lovely temple :) It is the BEST place on earth! Go as often as you can! It is so worth it! :) I felt the Spirit so so strongly :)

9 Months! :)

So.....this past Wednesday was my 9 month month! WOOT! I took some fun pics :) I also, because of tradition?? I had to burn something lol so I burned a sock! haha :) It was quite fun despite it sounding absolutely crazy hehe :D But anywhoo it is SO CRAZY that I am halfway through my mission! wow! :) I gotta make the best of it! :)

Haha! :D

We got to teach two 3rd hour lessons yesterday at church! One to the youth in an English ward and it went super well! We taught about how important it is to invite their friends! During a role play we had them do, a couple deacons instead of waiting for a different time, decided RIGHT THEN to text their friend and invite them to come to church! How awesome is that! :) We also taught in third hour in our Spanish ward and it was of course all in Spanish and I was super nervous! lol You would have thought I would have gotten over being nervous speaking spanish or teaching but nope! lol that is just me :D

The Women's meeting was AWESOME on Saturday :) the best part was that our Investigator Eva was able to go! It was a MIRACLE that we found a sister that could go with her! We only had 2 tickets and we didn't want Eva to go alone! So after calling almost EVERYONE in the directory, a lovely sister was able to go with her! And they both loved it!! :) It was amazing! ;)

Rainbow!

Seriously Eva is so so golden! I LOVE her!!! I know that she is one of the reasons why I had to come on a mission :) I am just beaming every time I leave one of her lessons! She has invited others to her baptism and she is making so many friends at church!! YAY :) It is the BEST!!!

Making a Clay Pot! :)

I love being on a mission everyone! :) I am happy that I have the opportunity to serve as a representative of Jesus Christ everyday! I feel the Spirit and I love being able think less about myself and more about others. I feel peace when I stop thinking about myself and start thinking about the people in our area. and also when I think about my Savior. When I relax and reflect on what He did for me, I feel that everything is going to be ok, even when I might be having a stressful day. I know He loves me and that He cares about my worries. And I learning more and more that I need to trust in Him and let go of my worries. I found so much happiness in doing this. Sometimes it is a daily thing that I need to recheck myself and trust more in Him, and sometimes it is a hourly or every minute kind of thing, But as I strive to trust more and doubt and worry less, peace and happiness come :)

Anywhoo I hope you all have a lovely day and that you are happy!!! :)

Share the Light!

Greeeeeeeeeeeeeeeen!

This morning, my comp and I were making necklaces!!! :) It was a blast! I love doing crafts. You will have to see the pics below! Mine is the one with the bird and key :)

This week was pretty fun :) It had a lot of fun surprises :)

So sadly though, last Monday, I lost my flashdrive :( I left it here at the library and I came back a little later and it was gone....nooooooo! 8 months of pics gone...but luckily I sent a ton of pics home, so I didn't lose everything.

then better news! I went on exchanges with Hna Camano in the other Lehi area :) I had a blast! She is so sweet! In the pics below there is a pic of two bunnies. We did a role play with them lol it was really funny. Then later in the day...I got to see Amy! :) haha it was so so fun! We needed directions and we were right by her house! So awesome!!! I love ya Amy :)

On exchanges, my comp had a lesson with Eva and she said that she wants to get baptized earlier and she said she was going to change jobs, so we changed her date up to April 12! Yay! :)

We also had president interviews this past week! I love our mission president! He said that I have changed so so much! That made me feel good. I strive to be better everyday, it is a challenge, but I am trusting in the Lord more and more everyday. :)

We got to go to the temple on Friday! Such a lovely experience everytime I go :) I felt the spirit so so strongly :)

So this week, my comp and I had fun looking at our family history. I found out that I have 4 cherokee chiefs in my ancestry lol. They are my 8th and 9th great grandpas lol I also found out that I have Irish and Scottish and so much more. The majority though is German and English lol so fun! :) Then my comp found a line that went ALL the way back to Adam and Eve lol we kept looking back and back and we say Abraham...Noah....then Adam and Eve! Crazy! :)

An AMAZING Frozen Party that we got to see :)

We had a stake conference yesterday and on Saturday! :) It was awesome! All of Saturday night was on hastening the work! Because they were splitting our stake, two members of the 70 were there. Elder Terry and Porter. Elder Porter was so funny. He had all the missionaries come up. The English Sisters and us and had us introduce ourselves. Because we met him before and I told him I was from Missouri. When he was having us come up, he said we have one sister from Zion! Lol Then when I introduced myself, because he was really talk, when I said I was from MO he put his hands up and smiled and pointed at me all excited lol Then he had me bear my testimony. It was really funny. :)

Stake conference really was spiritually amazing too. We had amazing talks. Some of my favorites were about the light that we as members have. We need to share that light with others. We can't judge who would be a good member of the church or who would except the message. Share the light with EVERYONE! :) They will see your light and they will want to get closer to the light. I know that this is so so true. I know that the Gospel brings happiness to our lives and it makes every aspect of our lives better. We have a brighter perspective on life. I know that because I know that the Gospel is centered on Jesus Christ. He needs to be our foundation, our rock. Like it says in the scriptures, if we build upon the foundation of Christ, we cannot fail when temptation or hard times come. I know that this is true with all of my heart. :)

I love you all! :) Look for ways to share that light this week! :)

HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY!!!

GREAT WEEK yet again here in Saratoga Springs! :D

First of all, Hermano Gutierrez got baptized on Saturday!!! It was the best! :) You could feel the Spirit so strongly! :) I got to play the piano! The whole ward was there it seemed like! My old compy Hermana Sablan came because she taught him too! :) It was so great to see his face light up when he came out of the water! :) Happiness all around! :) Now all his girls are baptized and he is now! Hermana Gutierrez is taking some time, but she is seeing the wonderful example set forth by her husband and it is wonderful! :) YAY! :)
Hermana Sablan y Yo :)

So you will see this is the pictures haha... but we have the Jordan River behind our house and it is SUPER low to where you can walk on it. So.. I did! :D It was super fun lol My sweet companion was watching from above as I went on this mini adventure haha I first had my boots on and I got STUCK! haha so off went the boots and it was a blast lol By the end, it is obvious to say I had mud caked on my feet. haha Then the water hose water was turned off! AH! lol luckily a spiket was turned on. But it was SO MUCH FUN! :)

We had two great lessons with Eva this week. Her husband sat in on one and he is a funny character lol...sadly right now he is not interested. but she is!! :) We taught the word of wisdom and she was totally on board! :) She said she would give up decaf coffee just like that! :) yay! miracles happening everyday!
Having fun in the Mud!

This past week for my first time I made Platanos tentaciones! Which are YUMMY carmelized platanos. and I also made yummy platanos fritos! I think they are my favorite treat that I have had! SO GOOD!! I am going to be cooking some yummy things from now on. I love working with people all around the world :) I love it!

So there ya have it. Great great great and fun week! :)

I know that this Gospel is TRUE! :) The church is true, the book is blue and Moroni is always on the ball! haha :) I know that our Savior is always looking out for us and that He loves us!!! I know that He chose to be our Savior so that He would know how to help us get through ANYTHING! He really has been through everything for us and I know that if we rely on Him, He will NEVER fail us or let us down. :)

I love you all! Have a lovely week and St. Patrick's Day!!!

The Beautiful Effects of Repentance :)

 Fun week!

Deanne, Dani, Hermana Despain y Yo :)

>So this morning I made a yummy smoothie and then I put water and soap in the Blendtec and I didn't put the lid on well enough and soapy water went EVERYWHERE! haha I was going crazy! lol Luckily our landlord has done that before so she was having a good laugh haha :)
I love this pic!

>Last Monday our district went bowling! I did SO much better than I did months ago haha :) I was proud of my score lol It was so fun!
101! Woot Woot! :)

>Sadly a lot of this past week I was sick! bleh..and I couldn't talk lol So that makes teaching lessons really fun... haha..So we didn't get to see a lot of people- which was sad..but I feel so much better now! :)

>Hermano Gutierrez had his baptismal interview on Saturday and he is all set to get baptized this next Saturday!!! We are super excited!! :)
Me shampooing Sister Bell's carpets :)

>Yesterday, Sister Bell came to church!! She hasn't gone in a long while, but we had a great lesson with her on setting goals and she said she wants to go to church just one time this month. And she came! She said that she is setting a new goal to go just one time this "month". It has been helping her to not feel overwhelmed with committing to going every week. So it was a huge step that she came yesterday and she came for all 3 hours :) it was awesome!

>On Saturday, Carmen got baptized! She was living in Pleasant Grove until a week and a half ago and she was taught in her old area and we talk her up until her baptism. It was so neat to see!!! I love love love baptisms!! They are the best! :) The Spirit is just so strong and I loved how everyone came out to support her for her big day.
Mount Timp! :)

>One thing I loved that Carmen said in our last lesson with her was that she is starting a brand new life with getting baptized. I love that she said this because it is so true. She was washed clean on Saturday and the things of the past do not matter. It is so amazing! I know that this is true. I am so grateful that every week by taking the sacrament that we have this same effect happen. If we truly repent and want to change our sins our gone. They are forgiven and forgotten. I know that this is true. We can change and have our past mistakes gone forever and ever. How amazing is this truth! :)

>I hope you all have a lovely week and look for someone to serve that comes into your path :)

I love you all!

Staying in Saratoga Springs!

As you can see from my subject line, we found out about transfers and we are both staying!!!! Oh my goodness I am so happy about this!!!! YAY!

>But something EVEN BETTER that happened this week that I can't even portray to you in an email was how excited I was last night!!! So we had a couple amazing things happen. The first was that we had dinner at a home where they had family visiting from Ecuador and from Lindon and we got to teach the whole family the Restoration! :) It was so amazing!! But something that was EVEN GREATER than this was that we taught Eva last night and she accepted a baptism date for April 12 :) (we can only see her once a week because of her job) and she says that she has been seeing all these amazing blessings in her life. She said that she feels good when she goes to church, when she prays (which she said that she is not very accustomed to praying, but she says she knows it is a good thing, so she keeps praying! several times a day!!) when she meets with us :) and she knows that she received this new job of hers because she is learning about the Gospel. We testified that Heavenly Father loves her and that she is on the right path :) We all started crying!! The Spirit was so strong and I was bouncing off the walls when we got outside :) It was SO AWESOME!!! :) Eva is so so so amazing and so ready to take this step in her life. I feel so blessed to be working with her!! :)

Jazmine, Hermana Despain, Laloni, y yo :)

 >Nothing really can trump this, but we did have a pretty fun week :) and an interesting one lol Last pday we had a really fun zone activity (jeopardy/minute to win it!) it was a blast. This after my comp and I went to this climbing structure and we took fun pics :)

 Look who's on top!

>So this week my district got pick, like what happened in Payson, to be a part of a new ipad feature test for the Mission department :) It was really cool! We were testing out a new ipad interactive pamplets app. It was pretty neat :)

 >At the CLIMAX of our amazing lesson with Mia (an 8 year old) on the ordinance of baptism....we hear a knock on the door and a lady was asking who drives a silver Toyota corolla....and it was our of course lol and she said she hit it!! Oh no lol It was a hard hit too lol we were on a neighborhood street! haha Sadly though, we got a quote on the damage and it is going to be a $3500 fix lol oh my goodness. Sadly her car was so so so much worse :P But todo esta bien!! :)

Our sad little car!

>Anywhoo that is what happened this week!! :) It was a really fun week :) I love you all!
